Cyberpunk 2077 dev tells players which location to search for secrets: 'I have hidden a lot'

It sounds like 'music' to our ears.

It could be time to dive back into Night City because it sounds like Cyberpunk 2077 isn't quite done with spewing out its secrets just yet.

It's been six years since CD Projekt RED's dystopian action-RPG landed, and while it's fair to say the game had something of a rocky start, it's come back in a big way thanks to its various updates, Phantom Liberty DLC, and franchise expansion with the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime.

Even though we know Cyberpunk 2077's journey has come to an end, and CDPR is already hard at work on a sequel, associate game director Paweł Sasko might have given us a reason to boot up our copies once again.

Back to Night City

Part of our design philosophy is to provide the player with optional ways to explore the depth of the design and narrative. In Cyberpunk those are emails, files, shards with additional articles and books, all telling the story of the place, characters and completing their arc.…

Responding to an eager fan on X, Sasko explained how one key location is worth exploring further. The OP noticed that you can snoop through the laptop of Night City musician Kerry Eurodyne, including mentions of his risqué hobbies, such as his aspirations to be painted nude.

Expanding on these seemingly tiny details, Sasko said: "Part of our design philosophy is to provide the player with optional ways to explore the depth of the design and narrative."

"In Cyberpunk those are emails, files, shards with additional articles and books, all telling the story of the place, characters and completing their arc."

Eurodyne isn't exactly Johnny Silverhand in the character stakes, but he helps bring the wider Cyberpunk world together thanks to featuring in Cyberpunk 2013 and Cyberpunk 2020.

When it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, we can indulge in the luxury of the Eurodyne Villa and also pick Kerry as a romance option for V.

The secrets of Villa Eurodyne

The hilltop Villa Eurodyne is located in North Oak, serving as a potential apartment that you can unlock for V. Perusing through the various terminals can offer some more insight into what goes on in Night City, with Sasko suggesting he has a soft spot for the locale: "This whole villa was designed and implemented by me, and I have hidden a lot in this space."

Rushing through Kerry's personal questline makes it easy to miss the terminals and these carefully crafted details, although some snippets include notes on the musician's unfinished songs, heated rows with manager L. B. Kovachek, and a clearly strained relationship with his ex-wife, Louise Nordin Eurodyne.

As GamesRadar notes, players have already cracked some secrets of Villa Eurodyne, like one Reddit thread highlighting the grim end of a pair of thieves whose bodies can be found lying outside the villa.

Like we saw when Rogue tried to heist the DeLuze Orphean guitar from Villa Eurodyne, crime doesn't pay in Night City.

Elsewhere, there was rampant speculation that Villa Eurodyne's locked room was some sort of seedy sex dungeon to satisfy Eurodyne's eclectic tastes. After managing to clip inside, fans were disappointed to discover it's simply empty.

Whether the locked room was once designed to be more or was just a simple dead end, we'll have to wait and see if Eurodyne is back for the sequel.
