Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 and the Assassin’s Creed franchise should keep their eyes on an upcoming stealth action-adventure game from developers Storm in a Teacup.

Set to release later this year, Steel Seed is a “stealth action-adventure game set in a dark sci-fi world” published by

ESDigital Games and developed by Storm In A Teacup. With a setting and combat reminiscent of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 and the stealth elements of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Steel Seed is set to be the next big futuristic adventure for 2024.

Take a look at it in action below!

You play as Zoe, who alongside her flying drone companion KOBY, must navigate a hostile underground facility run by AIs. With humanity on the brink of extinction and being kept safely underground, you must scour the facility for answers to find a way to save all of mankind.

Edited by BAFTA-winning writer Martin Korda, Steel Seed tasks players with optimising Zoe’s parkour abilities to navigate the hostile environment. With AI robots lurking in every corner, you must gain tactical advantage by using the map around you. However, with KOBY beside you, you make for quite the powerful duo in this “compelling and deep narrative experience.”

“Save humanity, find your father and stay human until the end,” reads the official synopsis.

“Steel Seed represents the most challenging project 'til now for Storm in a Teacup, featuring both a varied combat/stealth system and an incredibly deep and emotional storytelling,” said studio CEO and creative director Carlo Ivo Alimo Bianchi. “Steel Seed is an epic journey that will test your humanity.”

This game asks what is the greatest threat to humanity - man or machine and will have you work out the answer to the question as the events play out.

Steel Seed is set for release sometime in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Before then, you can add it to your Steam wishlist.
