A gameplay reveal and official title announcement for Assassin’s Creed Red is coming during the next Ubisoft Forward.

To say the game is coming out towards the end of the year, official details on Assassin’s Creed Red have been few and far between, but luckily that’s about to change.

At the time of writing all we know about the next Assassin’s Creed title is it’ll be set in Feudal Japan, will feature shinobi and samurai, and be another open world for the series.

We don’t even know the game’s official title, as Assassin’s Creed Red is purely a codename with the real title not yet shared.

Enter Ubisoft Forward, the developer’s annual presentation where it sheds some light on the projects it's got cooking, as well as show off some gameplay.

This year’s Ubisoft Forward will take place during Summer Games Fest, and it’s believed an official Assassin’s Creed Red showcase will take place, featuring gameplay and a title reveal.

Other games rumoured to be announced include the highly-anticipated Splinter Cell remake, as well as another look at Star Wars Outlaws ahead of its full release in August later this year.

Alongside the Assassin’s Creed Red reveal, it’s also believed we’ll get our first look at Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which will act as a new hub for Assassin’s Creed titles going forward.

The series will also shift towards a new engine called ‘Anvil Pipeline,’ which is said to allow for greater graphical fidelity as well as ensure development on the next few releases runs more smoothly.

It sounds like it’ll need it too, as after Assassin’s Creed Red fans will only have to wait until 2026 to see the next game, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which will reportedly dive into the supernatural and mystical side of the series.

Assassin’s Creed Red will be released later this year, for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
