If you’ve been searching for your next relaxing gaming escape, this acclaimed clicker base-building adventure could be for you.
First released 16 Oct, 2023, Outpath is made by solo developer David Moralejo Sánchez and published by GrabTheGames and UpgradePoint.
Its gameplay loop has scored it a loyal following on PC already, alongside a 94% positive rating on Steam. Now, console players can get involved with its blend of calm exploration, cosy crafting and idle progression.
Outpath is dropping on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on 19 February 2026.

It takes the music and iconic pixel-stylised art direction of Minecraft, the progression system of Forager and Satisfactory, with a sprinkle of Stardew Valley’s no-rules farming that builds and builds until your base can function without you.
The description reads: “Exploit your environment, craft, build and automate your base in this 3D first-person platformer”.

What do fans think of Outpath?
One Steam user says: “Simple, engaging, easy to pick up and put down, there are so many positives to this charming little game that keep me coming back to do playthroughs over and over again.”
They continued: “The progression is fun, the islands are designed in such a charming style, and I am always excited to find the next tier of things.”
Another user says: “I racked up 41 hours on this and I just loved it and wanted more. It had incredible crafting techniques which I loved and you unlock new islands to acquire skill books.”
It’s not all great news though, one user says: “the progression is often very unclear and even when you know what to do it still feels painfully slow.”
To me, it just sounds like idle games aren’t for that particular person. And that’s okay!
If idle games aren’t your bag either, don’t worry! The Steam description clarifies you can play active as well. It includes:
- Gather, collect and manage resources.
- Craft useful items.
- Base building, automate everything.
- Buy islands to expand and exploit!
- Fishing.
- Level up skills and unlock new blueprints.
- Parkour movements.
- Play active or idle, you choose!
- Music reacts to your actions.
- Uncover the secrets of this stylized place.
You know we love a freebie here, and if you do too, I’ve got good news. You can play the demo on PC - it’s reportedly around 10 hours of content.
If you like it, you can pick it up on the Nintendo eShop for £12.79/$17.22, same on Steam.
A price hasn’t been announced at time of writing for PlayStation Store or Microsoft Digital Store.
