New Lord Of The Rings movie has assembled a stellar cast

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is on the way next year, and it’s assembled an absolutely stellar cast.

We’re swimming in Lord of the Rings news right now, so allow me to catch you up on something you may have missed. Did you know that 2024 will bring us a brand new film in the series? The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is on the way next year, and it’s assembled an absolutely stellar cast.

All of that news I referenced? Well, we’re not too far away from the release of Daedalic Entertainment’s The Lord of the Rings: Gollum which is set to launch on 25 May. The Embracer Group revealed that they plan to release five Lord of the Rings games between now and March 2024. That includes Gollum, plus The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. Here at GAMINGbible, we’re very excited about Private Division and Weta Workshop’s upcoming open-world Middle-earth set release, and there’s the second season of The Rings of Power which is currently in production. Let’s get back to The War of the Rohirrim though.

Take a look at The Lord of the Rings: Gollum in action below.

The animated film is set 200 years before The Two Towers and will, according to Digital Spy, explore the legendary tale of Helm Hammerhand. Announced back in 2021, the film will finally be released on 12 April 2024, if all goes to schedule that is. It’s being produced by New Line Cinema and Warner Bros Animation.

It’s the cast that’s really going to get you hyped. Original trilogy star Miranda Otto will return as Éowyb who, this time around, will narrate the film. Helm Hammerhand, the king of Rohan, will be voiced by Succession’s Brian Cox. Gaia Wise will portray his daughter Hera, while Luke Pasqualino will voice Wulf who is the leader of Dunlendings.

The Dunlendings are seeking revenge against Rohan over the death of Wulf’s father, Freca, who will be voiced by Shaun Dooley. Additional talent includes Laurence Ubong Williams, Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, Benjamin Wainwright, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna, and Janine Duvitski.
