Harry Potter lovers are counting down the days till the rebooted TV series drops, with filming under way right now.
It’s too early for any teasers or trailers to drop a footage is still being acquired but we’ll surely get a snippet or two early next year, and in the meantime there are still some casting announcements to wait for, the big one being who will play Harry’s antagonist Voldemort.
As we wait though there is an exciting new Harry Potter release on the way, coming next month to Audible.
For those who love an audiobook the first Harry Potter story, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, will be read and presented by some of the actors from the upcoming TV reboot.

You can catch an extract of the new audiobook online now, and so far it sounds like the new cast are nailing these characters.
The full audiobook comes out on 4 November, only around a week away, and will likely be followed by additional adaptations of the following stories.

The Harry Potter reboot’s first season will also be exclusively about the events of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, with each following season being about one of the books. This means each story will hopefully get more time to flourish than the limited runtime of the films allowed, and from some behind-the-scenes shots that certainly looks to be the case.

It does also mean the actors involved are in it for the long haul, unless we get some surprise recasts along the way. Hopefully not but the same thing happened to the lead of The Witcher TV series on Netflix so stranger things have happened.
The Boy Who Lived, Comes To Be Cancelled…
Of course there’s no guarantee that the show will survive all of the Harry Potter stories. The ratings will need to be closely monitored and one big factor is Warner Bros considering offers for its own acquisition.

We’ve spoken about how this acquisition could affect games produced by Warner Bros like Hogwarts Legacy 2 but it could definitely affect shows accessible through HBO. Netflix for example is rumoured to be eyeing up the company which means the new Harry Potter series could find itself a new home depending on how the proceedings go.
It’s a little too early to tell, but it remains a possibility and one that could either be a saving grace for the series or its early demise.
