Harry Potter's New Ron Weasley Already a Favourite, Potterheads Say

The future of Harry Potter continues to look bright with multiple projects just around the corner but it seems as though fans already have their new favourite character.
The Harry Potter book and movie series may have come to an end well over a decade ago but its popularity has far from dwindled thanks to multiple spin-offs, video game adaptations, and now, the news of even more projects.
Not only will the brand-new HBO television adaptation be bursting onto our screens some time in 2027 but an audio book series in collaboration with Audible is also on the cards with some stars even taking on the same role in both projects.
However, it seems as though the Audible series, known as Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions, already has a fan-favourite character and it is not Harry Potter himself.

In a clip shared over on Reddit's r/HarryPotteronHBO, as originally posted in The Times, it is actor Max Lester who seems to be the shining star as he takes on the role of Ron Weasley.
Set to be voiced by Lester in audiobooks one, two, and three, he will be replaced by Rhys Mulligan in audiobooks four to seven. However, it seems as though the former has already made his mark despite his young age.
Lester has previously taken a minor role in The Fantastic Four: First Steps so it seems as though he is destined for stardom and fans over on Reddit agree.
“Max Lester (Ron Weasley) is my favorite in this scene. I can feel how annoyed he is at Hermione,” user RaemonTargaryen shared, racking up over 100 upvotes in agreement.
User Fossekall agreed, adding, “Ron's voice actor stands out the most to me here, he does a really good job at conveying emotion.”
Lester will be standing against some acting greats ranging from Keira Knightley, Bill Nighy, Kit Harington, Ruth Wilson, Iwan Rheon and many more but it seems as though the child actor is standing his ground, making fans feel hopeful for Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions’ full release.
“I’ve been most impressed with the Ron voice actor in all the short clips we’ve seen,” another user shared.
“His facial expressions are also pretty good from the small amount of behind the scenes footage released. He seems to be excited about HP too, I wonder if there’s a future role in the series that might fit him. He was probably too old to go for Ron in the show.”
Lester may not also be taking on the role of Ron in the upcoming Harry Potter television adaptation but there is no doubt that the young actor has a bright future ahead.
