One of the most timeless things to do as a Marvel fan, whether it be the comics or the movies, is to compare exactly how powerful each character is and whether they would come out on top when facing off against one another.
The most obvious example of this actually comes from DC, when people argue about whether Batman could take out Superman if he had enough time to prep (he absolutely could), but there are just as many debates on the other side of the fence.
With many of the original cast now dropping out of the MCU, a new generation of characters are here, with many having legitimate claims to being the most busted when it comes to power.
Though the franchise has been through some tough times in recent years after the events of Avengers: Endgame, but there have been some green shoots of recovery, particularly with some impressive further forays into television, and it's there that we might have found our next most powerful Avenger.

Wonder Man Debuts in 2026
Wonder Man is the next foray into shorter form content for Marvel, with the show set to premiere on Disney+ on 27 January, 2026.
As first noted by ComicBook.com, the titular character's powers in the comic books are pretty spectacular, and they could blow everything wide open if they're translated directly to the MCU.

Wonder Man first appeared in 1964’s The Avengers #9, in which Baron Heinrich Zemo experiments on a man named Simon Williams, turning him into an ion-powered individual who was designed specifically to infiltrate The Avengers.
This involves the poor man being blasted with radiation and chemicals, giving him insane strength, speed, agility, reflexes and a lot more when all was said and done. The real kicker comes later, when it emerges that Pym Particles were also used in the continuing experiments, essentially making him invulnerable and immortal.
So how powerful actually is he in the grand scheme of things? Well, his creator Zemo claimed he was similarly powerful to Thor, and he was actually able to choke out Red Hulk, who himself had been able to defeat Thor and the Abomination.
The writers for the show will likely have to turn his powers down somewhat (as we have seen on several occasions already), though they will have to retain at least some of the character's coolest features if they want it to resonate with existing fans.
