Massive new Skyrim expansion adds new quests, area and more

Massive new Skyrim expansion adds new quests, area and more

This incredible Skyrim fan-made mod took six months to create and is the size of a DLC.

It’s a good job that fans can’t get enough of Skyrim because even 11 years after release, new content just keeps on coming. You can now grab The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch if you’re looking for yet another way to experience Bethesda’s classic title. The pull? Creation Club mod content. Make of that what you will.

If that’s not enough for you, last month, one fan released the impressive The Pride Of Teia mod which adds six new islands to the game and is essentially DLC-sized. What’s that? You want more? Good because another fan-made DLC is on the way and this one includes new quests, areas, and enemies.

Speaking of Bethesda, are you excited for Starfield? Check out some gameplay below.

The Skyrim Special Edition Elden Root – A Tale Of Valenwood mod is the work of creator arminZX12. Set in Elden Root forest, the DLC-sized mod completely overhauls the area, introducing more than 20 new ingredients to find as well as several new animals to hunt and catch. The mod also includes new critters, some of which are described as “very rare” and “will only appear at certain locations and times.”

Players will also be able to encounter new enemies like cannibal tribes, lurchers and fairies, and use new weapons, armours, amulets, shrines, spells, and crafting stations. Keeping up? The mod also includes new food, drinks and recipes, plus new loadscreens.

My favourite part may just be the “small player home with some essential amenities and a cute new animal follower,” which sounds very wholesome indeed. The six-month project is available to download now, so get exploring folks.
