Hogwarts Legacy's Room Of Requirement has a horrifying secret

Players have found a horrifying item that can be used to decorate the Room of Requirement, if you're evil that is.

We’re now one month on from the release of Hogwarts Legacy and yet players continue to find new secrets and details. I shouldn’t imagine that’ll stop anytime soon. On 5 May, it’ll be PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users’ chance to join in, followed by Nintendo Switch folk on 25 July.

Hogwarts Legacy has already seen immense commercial success. It’s strange to think that it’s still yet to release on three major platforms. The title sold a massive 12 million copies in the first two weeks of release alone, making it the most successful Harry Potter game of all-time. This garnered a whopping $850 million in revenue, although analysts think this is closer to $1 billion by now. I’d imagine when the game is rolled out on PS4 and Xbox One, we’ll get an update on these sales figures. Let’s get back to those hidden secrets though. Today I bring you something quite horrifying you can use to decorate the Room of Requirement.

Fancy a laugh before we dive into the darkness? Take a look at PS1 Hagrid modded into Hogwarts Legacy below.

As discovered by Reddit user ultradespairthot, you can decorate the Room of Requirement with ‘Mounted House-Elf Heads,’ which yes, are dead elf heads. What makes this horrifying is that it’s our house-elf friend Deek that helps us look after the Room of Requirement. It takes a dark kind of a person to decorate the walls with the heads of Deek’s fallen brethren. I’m still in mourning from that Tobbs side quest.

The item description reads, “Mounted heads of various decapitated house-elves that can be hung in the Room of Requirement.” So were the heads decapitated to hang? Or did the house-elves die and then they were decapitated? Either way, this is seriously dark - and I think the vast majority of us will be sticking to the nice paintings and mirrors on offer.

Serega6531 joked, “Deek thinks you should be proud of all the elf heads you’ve collected.” If you know, you know. User vicRN reminded people that, “In the books, they put tiny hats on them at Christmas.” Oh my. _Pink_Wolf_ said, “Tobbs be lookin fine.” Too far, my guy. Too far.
