One Hogwarts Legacy fan has led their fellow gamers down a rabbit hole with this discovery.
Located near the goblin port, you’ll find a whirlpool cave with several secrets inside, the most intriguing being a ruined structure.

Magic, the unknown, and adventure all wait in Hogwarts Legacy.
Although you can’t wander around these ruins, nor do they seemingly lead to another quest, their presence has mystified the Harry Potter community.
In the words of the Redditor who shared this find, they can’t “help but lament at what could have been”.
Many think this is content from an abandoned storyline.
As mentioned by Track_Long, there are many moments in the Warner Bros. game that suggest another story once existed.
They said, “You can see when you play the story that there’s clearly supposed to be content at certain story beats, instead of a jump that feels jarring, leaves you wondering why did the quest just abruptly end.”
While discussing all the missed opportunities of Hogwarts Legacy, the same fan wonders if this is Gaunt Manor.
It was purportedly meant to appear in the game, but it never made the final cut.
Some fans, however, think this hauntingly beautiful location is an Easter egg for another title.
“This location might have just been an Easter egg to a location in Dark Souls 1 called New Londo Ruins,” theorised TazAlonzo.

Sadly, there are no answers to offer in relation to this secret area.
However, maybe we don’t need it now that we’ve entered the rabbit hole of theories?
