Hogwarts Legacy meets Elder Scrolls in new Steam game you can play free

Combining the magic of Hogwarts Legacy with the gruelling landscape of Elder Scrolls, one upcoming roguelike is set to make a mark later this year.

If you have been craving more magic since completing Hogwarts Legacy and waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6 is just taking too long, Terralysia is an upcoming third-person roguelike which promises something to fill that gaming void.

Developed by Tiny Game Dev, Terralysia is an action roguelike set in a vibrant realm where danger lurks beneath the beautiful surface. With “gruelling missions, endless onslaughts and formidable bosses”, Terralysia tasks players with using spells to come out on top.

“Leave nothing but a trail of destruction in your wake as you dismantle the unjust systems within Terralysia,” reads the official synopsis. “Engage in a captivating gameplay cycle where you’ll confront the relentless orchestration of insidious dream-weaving engines crafted by scientists.”

By equipping yourself with an arsenal of potent spells and items, you will be able to defeat the deadly swarms of enemies and make yourself an unforgettable force.

Whether you play as a mage, archer or melee fighter, combat adjusts to your style of gameplay. Additionally, you will earn your powers by collecting fragments around the world or collecting them from defeated enemies.

Terralysia not only tasks you with fighting enemies and building your power but as the story progresses, you will be able to uncover the secrets of the brutal prison you have found yourself trapped in. However, be aware that as your power grows, so do your enemies.

Terralysia is set for early access release for PC some time in 2024. However, you can now request access to the play test on Steam if you wish to try it out even earlier. It is currently unconfirmed whether or not the title will be heading to consoles.
