Notorious Studios has officially unveiled Legacy: Steel & Sorcery, an upcoming action RPG that blends the worlds of The Elder Scrolls and God of War.

You’ll venture through a mystical land, taking out the monsters that stand in your way with your trusty axe - amongst other weapons.

There’s something about Legacy: Steel & Sorcery that also reminds me of the wonderful Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

They both seem to tap into the strand of action-adventure that reigned supreme during the PlayStation 2 era.

“Legacy: Steel & Sorcery is a third-person action PvPvE RPG featuring distinctive fantasy classes. Go on adventures solo or with friends to search for treasures, level up, and defeat any who stand in your way,” a synopsis teases.

Every enemy encounter has significance as the loot you acquire upon beating an opponent will be integral to your survival.

Take a look at Legacy: Steel & Sorcery in action below.

You’ll also be able to craft elixirs and new armaments to help you on your journey, venturing back from the wilds to the city when you need to rest or cook a hearty healing meal.

You can, of course, go it alone in Legacy: Steel & Sorcery but multiplayer allows you to join up with up to two friends.

In order to progress and unlock better equipment, you’ll actually need to improve your reputation with vendors alongside the standard levelling up.

The game remains in development so a launch date hasn’t been set just yet, but you can sign up on Steam to partake in a series of upcoming playtests.

That’s not all though.

As a part of Steam’s Next Fest, an alpha demo is set to go live for a very limited time, from 14 to 21 October.

So if you want to get involved, mark the date on your calendar.
