There's less than a month til Hogwarts Legacy releases for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. A tick list is in order, I believe. New shoes: check. Weatherproof coat: check. New personality so that you get the house you want rather than the one that really reflects you: check. Right now, Hogwarts Legacy fans are able to be sorted into their favourite house before the game is out, and here's how.

In spite of some of the positive sentiment towards the game, Hogwarts Legacy hasn't had an easy time of it. Over the last week, the RPG's Steam listing was assailed with inappropriate user-generated tags. With regularity, Hogwarts Legacy is posted to Reddit and incites a wave of bans for people who appear to align with author J. K. Rowling's opinions. It's as divisive as a game could possibly be, however, it's one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Take a tour of the common rooms belonging to the famous four houses below!

As the most esteemed school of magical teachings in the wizarding world, Hogwarts has a tradition that is instilled in lots of primary and secondary schools in the United Kingdom. Gryffindor is courageous, Hufflepuff is fair minded, Ravenclaw is studious and Slytherin is evil. A right scourge on society. Just the sort of thing to impress on the self-image of an 11-year-old. Fortunately, in Hogwarts Legacy, you're a fifth year, so you're well into your chaos era if you do opt for Slytherin.

In order to skip the queues in the Great Hall, players are able to link their WB Games and Harry Potter Fan Club accounts to the game and transfer over their assigned house once they've completed the online Sorting Ceremony. When the game is out and launches for the first time, there will be a prompt to log into their WB Games account and hey, presto, their character will be sorted into the pre-existing house selection.

Not only this but players who connect their accounts to Hogwarts Legacy will also unlock a Beaked Skull mask and a House Fan-atic School Robe to wear in the game.
