Hogwarts Legacy’s maintaining of its playerbase is incredibly impressive.
Fair to say, it’s a lot harder for story-driven single-player games to encourage replayability.
Once you’ve played the game, you know what to expect so it’s only the sheer power of the narrative or the depth of the open-world that can possibly draw you back in.

That’s why titles like The Last of Us Part I and Red Dead Redemption 2 keep pulling players back into their familiar clutches.
It seems that Hogwarts Legacy has been able to tap into a fraction of Red Dead Redemption 2’s magic, packing its open world with fun little discoveries.
Yes, this is by no means a perfect open world - and there’s certainly room for improvement - but it’s a pretty good effort.
I have to say, I thought I’d seen all that this game had to offer but I’ve never stumbled across this particular find.

And it’s one which, I’ll warn, is a tad disturbing.
Enjoy a relaxing tour of Hogwarts’ four house common rooms before we proceed.
This discovery was brought to light by Reddit user ephemerasnape who simply wrote, “What did they mean by this?”

Accompanying the question was a screenshot of an in-game pile of mail except amongst the boxes was a perfectly wrapped cat.
There’s no way that cat can be alive, wrapped up like that. It would suffocate.
But I’m certainly hoping no one wrapped a dead cat either.

Please say this is just a very well-wrapped and realistically shaped plush toy.
“Don't worry, that's just the cat distribution system at work,” joked ArbVonX.
“Yeah sorry that was me I ordered a cat online, guess they accidentally delivered it to Hogwarts,” added Own-Balance-8695.
The OP found this small room near to the entrance hall outside of The Great Hall, but user lovianettesherry found a similarly wrapped-up cat in Hogsmeade Square.

“Poor thing can't even rest in peace,” added the OP.
Whatever is going on here, I simply hope it isn’t as nefarious as it looks.
