Though the wizarding world of Harry Potter is a very big and reliable franchise for Warner Bros, they likely wouldn't have expected the level of success that Hogwarts Legacy managed to achieve.
Recently, PlayStation confirmed that the game is one of the three most played single-player games in the PlayStation 5's history in terms of raw hours, so they'll undoubtedly be looking to get the most mileage possible out of the sequel.
What exactly that sequel will look like is still fairly hazy, with persistent rumours that the developer and publisher have decided to pivot to a live service model. Though that will undoubtedly prove divisive with fans, it will at least give us the multiplayer elements that many have tried to mod into the original.
That lack of information around the sequel has led many fans to name features that they are desperate to see next time out, and there's one in particular that has really captured everyone's imagination.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 Needs A Morality System
Over on Reddit, one fan of the game asked the community what changes and additions they want to see when the sequel releases, with one suggestion in particular rising above the rest.
"Morality system. Looting and murdering people bad karma, helping people good karma," the top comment read in response.

Others went into more detail on what they want that morality system to look like, with one saying, "I'd like a morality system but I don't want it to be black and white.
"I want to use the unforgivable curses and still do good."
"I do agree with a morality system, but I'm evil. A hidden Morality system. You don't know about it until the end," another added.
A third said: "Would like to see consequences (good and bad) for the choices the MC makes. The first game gave us the illusion of choice.

"Very few decisions had meaningful impacts on the outcome of quests.
"Still had a great time, but this is a major opportunity for improvement."
Other popular picks from the game's fan base include some type of relationship system for deeper roleplaying and immersion, as well as a larger and more varied map. Some even wanted to see their characters as adults, where they can pursue careers like auror or teacher at Hogwarts.
Whatever it does turn out to be, expectations heading into the sequel are sky high and Avalanche Studios has a boatload of work to do to meet those expectations.
