Rockstar Games is rolling out the might of its marketing machine, and if you're any other game releasing between now and November 2026, we'd get out the way. There are some amazing releases still on the way in 2026, with everything from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced to Marvel's Wolverine poised to clear up. Still, there's a reason that many titles are steering clear of the next Grand Theft Auto, especially with GTA VI tipped to become the biggest video game of all time.
It's been nearly 13 years since we first picked up GTA V, but with millions of people still logging in every day, Rockstar Games has made billions as it continues to flog Shark Cards to us.
GTA V successfully built on the legacy Rockstar built with the early GTA games, although picking your favourite is like asking a parent to pick their favourite child. For many, 2002's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City remains the pinnacle of the franchise, so it's good news we're heading back to that neon-soaked locale in GTA VI.
A return to Vice City comes with plenty of tantalising options, namely whether we'll find out what happened to Tommy Vercetti and whether that was his iconic mansion hiding in the game's May 2025 trailer. We'd also love to see whether iconic locations like the Malibu Club and Ocean View Hotel are still up and running, with a brand-new interactive Vice City map giving us our first real look at how things have changed over the decades.
Amid the hype of Rockstar trying to drum up GTA VI pre-orders ahead of them going live a matter of days, we've got a reveal of the game's cover art. Complete with that classic GTA mosaic, we get a suitably pastel-looking box that'll sit nicely on our shelves among the rest of the back catalogue.

Over on Reddit, one eagle-eyed fan noted that Rockstar is already giving us a wink to Vice City thanks to the placement of two panels featuring a helicopter and motorbike in the same positions.
We also see that new protagonists Jason and Lucia are in the middle at the top, while Tommy sat in pride of place on Vice City's cover art.
Others applauded these small but subtle nods, while some claimed it's a recurring gag that GTA games always feature a helicopter and bike in those positions. It's probably not that deep, but at the end of the day, GTA fans sure do love a conspiracy theory.

While we've got to admit the cover art is particularly stunning, and you’ve got another five months to pore over every minute detail, others are less impressed. There was also new artwork for Jason and Lucia, although many noted it's just a tiny change to their previous pose.
Still, with pre-orders going live on June 25, it's led to rampant speculation that a full-blown gameplay trailer is on the way. Some analysts have predicted that GTA 6 will make over $1 billion in pre-orders alone and potentially recoup its massive development costs.
The title likely doesn't need much marketing, but one way to secure record-breaking pre-order sales would be to give fans a proper gameplay trailer on June 25. Either way, we've got our cash ready to be slashed when pre-orders finally go live.
