It might be hard to believe, but other video games are releasing in the same month as GTA VI, and we’ll let you know who dares challenge the Rockstar Games giant.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, there’s every chance that you’re well aware that the next entry in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series arrives this coming November. That’s assuming, of course, GTA VI doesnt get delayed once again.
In the unlikely event that GTA VI gets delayed this close to launch, with so many games not daring to release in November 2026, it would result in one hell of a quiet video game launch month, a time that is typically stacked with choices, with Christmas just weeks away. But hey, at least our bank balance would be grateful.
That being said, some games still plan to release in November 2026, and while most of them won't be of any concern to Rockstar Games, it’s still quite a daring move nonetheless. Because let’s face it, once GTA VI arrives, it’s going to be the talk of social media for many months ahead, perhaps even years.
Advert
Just a small caveat before we proceed: it appears that all other major AAA video game publishers are strategically avoiding GTA VI. So with those who still remain to launch in November, we’ll highlight some of the standout daredevils.

This has to be one of the most underrated announcements during Summer Game Fest.
Originally released in 2002, this cult-classic fighting game developed by Pipeworks Software is making a triumphant comeback in 2026 with a glorious remaster. Simply put, it’s a fighting game that not only features the King of the Monsters, but also a plethora of his friends and foe Kaiju. The combat is intense, silly, and features describable environments.
The roster of playable Kaiju includes various versions of Godzilla, as well as the likes of King Ghidorah and Mecha-King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Rodan, Destoroyah and much more. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered arrives on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

Ok, if there was any game that could topple the goliath that is GTA VI this November, it’s the release of the massively anticipated, Barbie Rewind! Obviously, I’m kidding, but Barbie is a legend, and there’s a chance this might pique the interest of a few gamers out there. Maybe.
In Barbie Rewind, you can decorate your Barbie dream house until your heart is content, and it even includes 16 “classic” games inspired by the toy brand. Barbie Rewind will be released on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Now, if you excuse me, I’ve had my Barbie fix for the day.

This is one of the best games of 2024 when it arrived on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Now, Metaphor: ReFantazio is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. If you’re a fan of JRPGs or just massive open-world RPGs in general, then you might want to check out this fantastic offering developed by Atlus.
“After his assassination, the will of the late king decrees that the next monarch will be elected by the people,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Forge bonds and win over a kingdom divided in this award-winning fantasy RPG with turn-based and action combat, party customisation with powerful Archetypes, and hours of exploration.”
As you can see, other than the obvious, November is going to be very quiet in terms of other releases, despite having a ton of indie games coming our way. But let’s face it, with GTA VI on the way, it's understandable why publishers want to avoid November like the plague.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PC port hasnt been announced yet.
