Xbox Game Pass secures Date Everything for August, the best romance-sim you'll ever play

The line-up for Xbox Game Pass in August has been confirmed, and it’s looking…okay. We’ve had better months in the past, but there’s still some good stuff here.

Whilst browsing through the offering, we’ve noticed there are many new games coming for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, though one stands out far more than the rest.

The popular 2025 dating-sim Date Everything is officially coming to your subscription service, and it might just ruin the genre for you.

If dating-sims aren’t usually your cup of tea, we can practically guarantee Date Everything will change your mind.

After losing your job and acquiring a mysterious pair of rose-tinted glasses, you unlock the incredible ability to communicate with everyday household items/appliances.

The doors in your house, the bed you sleep on and the stove you cook on are just a few of the objects you can bring to life.

Each character is fully voice-acted by some of the biggest names in the business, such as Ben Starr, Debra Wilson, Laura Bailey, Neil Newbon, Troy Baker and many, many more.

How and when you interact with them is entirely up to you. You can only talk to a maximum of five characters each in-game day, after which you need to go to sleep and start a new one.

Depending on your conversations, some might just want to be friends, whereas others may want to be more, so you might end up realising the love of your life has actually been a personified D-20 die the entire time.

You can even romance concepts like a nightmare, and with the DLC add-on, you can even date a micro-transaction of all things.

The game received favourable reviews when it launched last year, but its $30 price-tag turned a lot of people away, even with its 100+ hours of playtime according to HowLongToBeat.

That just makes its inclusion with Xbox Game Pass even sweeter. Now you’ll have a risk-free way of giving it a go without having to buy it outright.

When does Date Everything launch on Xbox Game Pass?

Date Everything will land on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass on August 11.

You’ll be able to play it on either your Xbox Series X/S or PC, though it’s not an intensive experience, so the hardware you choose doesn’t really matter. It’ll run fine on either platform.

Joining Game Pass on the same day as Date Everything will be Bounty Star and Grounded 2, both of which will also be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass subscribers.

These will be followed by Ball x Pit, Cricket 26, Mio: Memories in Orbit, Sandustry and Egging On peppered in throughout the rest of the month.

Like we said before, August as a whole is definitely looking a little weaker than usual, but that’s not to say it lacks value altogether.
