GTA VI recently received its second trailer but as expected, fans are already turning their attention to the third, which is coming God knows when.
It feels like Rockstar Games only threw a second trailer at us to make up for the fact that the game had to be delayed, a goodwill gesture to quell the frenzied fanbase.
That’s not to say the delay has been received badly, as I think most Grand Theft Auto fans agree with Rockstar’s decision despite them now having to wait another year for the game’s release.

It does open the door for additional marketing opportunities though, not that GTA VI needs marketing anyway as it’s, well, GTA VI.
Obviously, a third trailer for the game will be part of that, and fans are already theorising on when we might see it air.
“I’m thinking Rockstar is probably gonna start pre-orders around the holidays,” theorised a fan on Reddit, “so maybe they’ll drop the 3rd trailer around late October/early November to build some hype.”
Personally, I’d expect sometime around December but anywhere towards the end of the year makes sense, then the really exciting stuff can begin at the start of 2026.

Others agreed with the above Redditor’s idea, further speculating there’ll be actual in-depth gameplay “around February/March”.
Rockstar Games did confirm that the second trailer for GTA VI was a mixture of cutscenes and gameplay, but we didn’t really see much gameplay from the player’s perspective so I’d expect a third trailer to deliver on that front.
We already know enough about our new protagonists Lucia and Jason; we need to know more about the world now and what we’ll be able to do in it.
Rockstar Games has all the time in the world to deliver though, as the game is now due to be released in May 2026 provided there’s not another delay lurking around the corner.
