A Grand Theft Auto leaker with a pretty solid track record has claimed that Grand Theft Auto VI will bring back a few familiar faces from GTA IV and GTA V.

While the Grand Theft Auto series has been known to reference past games by bringing back or hinting at certain characters, protagonists like CJ, Tommy Vercetti, and Trevor Philips tend to stay gone. However, a new report suggests that the in-development GTA VI is bringing back Niki Bellic from GTA IV and Michael De Santa from GTA V.

Take a look at everything we know about GTA VI so far below!

According to Redditor ‘GTA_VI_Leak,’ who teased Dr Dre's involvement in GTA Online ahead of its reveal, Niko Bellic will play a role in GTA VI. Exactly how substantial this role will be remains to be seen, but I'd wager it won't be much more than an extended cameo.

“Niko Bellic was never caught for his crimes. Stories of ‘The Serb’ are still told in Liberty City occasionally, plenty of news articles mention him, and there’s even a nostalgic documentary about him," the leaker wrote in a recent post.

They added: “The actions of GTA IV cause gigantic power shifts in the criminal underworld and the weakening of almost every faction over the course of the game paves the way for the Von Crastenburg family to grow so quickly."

Continuing, the leaker said they've heard that Michael actor Ned Luke is once again working with Rockstar Games. While it's widely believe that this for a new GTA Online expansion similar to the one which saw Franklin return, our leaky friend claims there's more to it than that. They teased that Michael, who we know is now a big shot movie producer, could be making a movie in Vice City where GTA VI is rumoured to take place. That'd certainly make for a fun side mission that makes us all nostalgic for GTA V.

Take all of this with a pinch of salt for now, of course. GTA_VI_Leak's post is filled with a huge number claims about GTA VI's gameplay, setting, and more. In our experience, the more detailed and varied these "leaks" are, the less likely they are to be true.
