GTA 6 release date has been staring us in the face for months, fans insist

Rockstar have been telling us all along

GTA VI fans are such silly billys, and honestly, I’m here for it. It’s wonderful watching all the speculation bubble up because it comes from a place of excitement and joy, and while there is rarely any concrete information coming out of discussions on Reddit and social media, it keeps everyone busy while we sit through the interminable wait for the game.

So, what’s new in the world of ‘Is this GTA VI thing a solid piece of information?’ Some fans believe the release date for the game has been staring us in the face for some time now. And how do we know this? Bullet holes.

GTA VI cannot arrive fast enough for fans of the franchise.

Before we start on this short, but still meandering road, this post on Reddit was classed as a meme, so we’re putting on our silly hats. One Redditor named u/Hnkpe posted the final shot of the trailer, where Lucia and Jason are leaning against the car, and have noticed a number of bullet holes in the car’s body. These holes, when lined up with what appears to be a brail guide, spell out 1, 9, and M.

Of course, this means that GTA VI is coming out on 19 May 2025. Or 19 March 2025. It must do, Rockstar love to tease us and leave us hints. Thankfully even the replies know this to be nonsense with retorts such as, “I was confused. Now thanks to you, I'm still confused, but about something else.” Or there’s the obvious, “Those are real bullet holes in the car. You can shoot at the car and bullet holes will be visible. I think that started in GTA IV and made a return in GTA V and will again make a return in GTA VI.”

My personal favourite reply is the simple, “We are hungry for content.” One day, we’ll get more official news and be eating well once again, for now we can keep up the silliness.
