GTA 6 release window reminds fans of their own mortality

GTA 6 release window reminds fans of their own mortality

How long can we wait?

GTA VI's open world is shaping up to be one of the most immersive video game locations we've ever visited, according to an incredibly detailed new gameplay leak.

If you've played a Rockstar Games title (and I'd be amazed if you hadn't) you'll know that the developer's open worlds are inimitable. Just look at Red Dead Redemption 2, a game so packed with stunning attention to detail that players are still uncovering new things.

Take a look at everything we know about GTA VI below!

Unfortunately, we're still in for a wait. As a possible release date for GTA VI is leaked, fans are beginning to dread their own mortality as they realise the wait will take them into 2025. Fans have taken to social media in the only acceptable way - joking about their own mortality.

One Twitter user remarked "GTA VI dropping in 2025??? It better be an exact copy of Earth and I better be able to walk to MY own house." It goes to show the long wait we are all in for and how badly some of us want to see something, anything, of the game.

Of course, this one sparked some great replies with a string of people saying similar, "I better be able to walk into all the buildings", this one was popular, or "I better be able to put gas in my car." Quite a few people asking for serious requests, some of which might be granted, like playable female characters which we've wanted in Grand Theft Auto for ages.

We have another user channeling the brilliant Willem Dafoe with this brilliant performance.

Then there's the all-time classic. Don't mind us, we're just dancing along.

It does become a worry. Many people ironically find themselves wondering if they'll still be alive when their new favourite thing will release. Soon though, it becomes unironic, especially when the wait is as long as it seems to have been for GTA VI. Also, George R.R. Martin, we're looking at you.
