GTA VI fans are marking their calendars in the hope of something special being announced on 7 August 2025.
If you thought that having two trailers and a release date already would be enough to stop the Grand Theft Auto rumour mill from ending anytime soon, you’d be sadly mistaken.
Typically, at least judging by previous habits from GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games tends to release three trailers for its big games. So in that respect, GTA VI should have at least one more trailer in the tank.
That being said, the question remains, when will that third GTA VI trailer drop and will it showcase proper gameplay? Both of the previous two trailers were in-engine footage, so it would be nice to see how good GTA VI looks in motion.

As brought to our attention by the Twitter account, ‘GTA 6 Countdown’, Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive has scheduled an earnings call with investors on 7 August 2025.
I don’t expect big news to drop on that specific day but many fans will be hoping that the release date for the next GTA VI trailer will be announced around that time.

Personally, I can’t see the third GTA VI trailer dropping this year, but a bit of optimism can’t hurt. Who knows, perhaps we’ll be treated to a trailer for the new iteration of GTA Online.
“Will we get gameplay footage before that?” asked a Twitter follower relying on the tweet from ‘GTA 6 Countdown’.
“Lets goooo!” yelled AnonymousStoic.
“Trailer three on 5 August,” declared the positive douglas_dogg.

“Trailer three will drop by then,” replied mate665.
“Not interested, we already know the release date,” responded the pessimistic dikshant1984 and to be fair, they’re not wrong. That’s unless GTA VI gets delayed.
Of course, we’ll keep you posted as soon as any new information drops regarding the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.
GTA VI is currently scheduled to be released on 26 May 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Its PC port is yet-to-be-announced.
