GTA 6 release date leaves fans seriously concerned about 'unfinished' game

Where in the world is GTA VI? It’s like a slightly more rubbish version of Where’s Wally?, since no matter how hard we all look, we’ll never be able to spot its release date hidden somewhere on the internet wearing a little red and white shirt.

Although we’re still yet to hear an actual release date for the title from Rockstar Games, prominent insider Tez2 recently claimed that it could be coming out as soon as “holiday 2024”, or potentially 2025. Unfortunately though, this could apparently come at a pretty huge cost - the insider speculated that “cutting more portions of the game to package into DLCs to release later on may be sustainable for management”.

As GGRecon reports, fans are understandably starting to feel a bit worried about this: “If Rockstar releases GTA VI unfinished, then I feel like that would solidify the belief of many that Rockstar isn’t the same company it once was. Heck, it would be Cyberpunk’s launch times a billion, in terms of uproar,” one Reddit user wrote. “If content is cut from the original game and then later [released] as DLC, that doesn't really count as DLC, [in my opinion],” another said. “GTA VI is gonna flop all because of lazy developers & greedy management,” added another.

However, some still remain optimistic: “Can’t they release the main storyline and then expand on it as they move forward? This allows for delivery of a massive content polished,” one suggested. “[To be honest], it might be controversial but [in my opinion] I don’t mind online ‘story DLC’[,] GTA V was fine and it has kept the game alive for almost 10 years now,” added another.

It’s very important to keep in mind that none of this information has been officially confirmed at the time of writing, so don’t worry yourself too much.
