It looks like there’s going to be far more to explore in GTA VI than we all realised, and we can't wait.

We already know that when GTA VI arrives next year, it’s likely going to be the biggest game in the ever-popular Rockstar Games series. It may even surpass GTA V in terms of sales over time.

“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” reads the synopsis of GTA VI. “But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

In terms of map size, GTA V is no small feat; that game is huge. What’s more, there’s a ton of side activities that can keep you distracted for seemingly countless hours, without barely touching the main campaign missions.

Some of those activities involve playing a game of golf, making shady deliveries via a plane or even something as mundane as driving a taxi. You can even perform well-executed bank heists or rob a local petrol station. The world is your oyster in Los Santos.

The latter activity is the subject of today’s story because, as reported by The Game Post (via GameRoll), the next entry in the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto series will not only have full functional shopping malls but over 700 buildings we can enter.

GTA V has tons of buildings, but most of which we cannot enter, but that looks not to be the case in the upcoming GTA VI.

More specifically, GameRoll has reportedly claimed on Discord that those 700 buildings are shops that you can rob. So does this mean that GTA VI will have even more additional non-business buildings that we can enter? Only time will tell.

I guess we’ll find out when Grand Theft Auto VI is released on 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
