I don’t know about you, but I’m yet to find a game that takes hold of me more than PowerWash Simulator, or its follow up sequel.
I’m not one at all for simulators usually, but every time I turn on that damn tool, I can spend hours slowly washing away grime.
If you’re reading this thinking, “What a weirdo,” I've got a hard sell ahead of me.
If you understand exactly what I’m saying though, you’re likely going to enjoy an interesting little free offering I’ve discovered on Steam.
Think PowerWash Simulator But With Added Platforming and Cosy Creatures
Muri: Wildwoods is an upcoming platformer from Speldosa Interactive that’s coming to PC storefront Steam that just so happens to also include cleaning elements.

“Step into the paws of Pelle, a regular muri out on their first solo mission as a cleaner,” the synopsis begins.
“With the support of your friends on Teamsqueak, explore a mysterious island, clean up corruption, collect things, befriend critters, and save the island's forest spirit to restore the environment!”
Yes, this is basically PowerWash Simulator with an extra dose of cute and cosy.
Set on a mysterious island, Pelle will run, jump, and climb as she navigates this strange locale, uncovering new structures and ruins.
The only problem is that so many of them are covered in grime.
Armed with a trusty water gun, you can select from a number of nozzles to help you blast that dirt away as the vibrancy of the Wildwoods returns.

There are fun pieces of art to collect hidden around the game’s world, plus the forest’s spirit, the Raccoonicorn, needs your help.
With the Wildwoods overrun by corruption, it’s up to you to clear it and restore balance.
There are over 1,000 items to clean in this adventure that should also scratch that platforming itch.
The full game lacks a release date, but a demo is already available granting you access to a small slice of Muri: Wildwoods.
It currently, at the time of writing, sits at a 100% positive rating.
“It's charming af! It’s really cool how the pressure washer gameplay is used to clean one long continuous platforming level. The colourful coral areas you’re cleaning have a really nice charm, and getting each spot to 100% feels very satisfying,” reads one positive review.
“I really enjoyed the world, and the satisfying cleaning mechanics of the game! I'm excited to play the full [game] and learn more about the characters and the crew,” added another.
“I played it once, then played it a second time! I'll likely play it a third time! Absolutely delightful! The colours, the music, the adorable critters, everything about this has been great and I really look forward to the full release in the future!” wrote one player.
You must be sold by now, so go and give it a try.
