Grand Theft Auto fans have grown so impatient that they’ve legitimately been organising and executing planned heist attempts at Rockstar Games’ studio.
By the end of this year Grand Theft Auto VI will finally be with us and yes, it’s been a long, long wait.
Now Grand Theft Auto fans have been very patient in the build-up, because they have to, they’re not the game developers and as such have no control over when it gets finished and when it goes out.
Most fans have made peace with this, but you always get an exception to the norm.

In this case, it’s a group of fans who reportedly went too far in their pursuit of early gameplay footage.
First reported by PPE, there have allegedly been attempts in the past to break into Rockstar Games’ headquarters, as well as other facilities where copies of the game might be kept.
YouTuber KiwiTalkz has backed up some of the claims, with some of the attempts he’s heard of over the years.
“Unfortunately there are a number of crazy Rockstar fans that would 100% break into retail stores and manufacturing facilities to steal discs and people on the inside would leak it as well.”

Rockstar Games inadvertently confirmed the other week that some of the leaks released by a former Rockstar dev might have been genuine.
It gets crazier than that too, as KiwiTalkz went on to say that they’ve heard reports of fans “faking IDs” and even “flying drones” in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the game.
Of course a lot of this is rumour and hearsay but it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to learn that they really did happen.
Sometimes it feels like there’s no limit to the lengths some fans would go to in order to be the first one to leak something online.
The important thing to remember though is it’s not the norm. It’s the loudest voices in the Grand Theft Auto community that get noticed the most and thankfully the majority of the fanbase is level-headed enough to let Rockstar Games cook in peace.
Sure there’s a bit of rowdiness when the game gets delayed but it quickly dissipates, as we all want the next Grand Theft Auto game to be a success and that won’t happen if Rockstar has to look over its shoulder every two minutes to see who’s watching.
