GTA 6 confirms $400 Collector's Box which features 'all the essentials' except the game

Rockstar Games has dropped a new GTA 6 Collector’s Box. The next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series might not be getting a physical game release, but hey, at least GTA 6 is getting a physical Collector’s Box.

Following leaks and rumours across social media this morning, Rockstar Games has officially announced the Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection (that’s a mouthful). It also looks a lot like the leaked “GTA VI Collector’s Edition” previously making the rounds.

It was hoped Rockstar would announce a GTA VI Collector’s Edition, but that would require a copy of the game. Instead, this $399.99/£349.99 collection is available to pre-order exclusively through the Rockstar Games Store, with very limited stock.

Inspired by the fictional Leonida TV show Macca the Gator, the collection looks similar to the Collector’s Box released for Red Dead Redemption 2, which included plenty of cool trinkets but no game. In Rockstar Games’ defence, this isn't advertised as including GTA VI, so it’s very much a standalone product.

What’s the community saying about Rockstar Games’ latest GTA 6 announcement?

“$400 for an ugly statue and some cheap hats and a shot glass and no game included is insane. Will pass,” declared Junksterrr.

Is this edition expensive? That’s subjective, but it certainly feels expensive for what you get. The real question is, will fans still buy it in droves? You already know the answer.

The Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection is set to be released on November 19, 2026. The same day as when GTA VI drops on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
