Rockstar Games is believed to be days away from another Grand Theft Auto VI announcement, but the studio seems to have other plans…
Theorists have put on their tinfoil hats again to see if they can pinpoint the exact day the next trailer for GTA VI will drop.
The third trailer, in addition to preorders, are expected to drop soon as Take-Two Interactive has another earnings call scheduled for the end of May which usually follows some sort of announcement or reveal.
Looking back at Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 adds credibility to this theory as both games received some pre-launch activity on similar dates.

Yesterday Rockstar Games’ X account pinged, and thousands of gamers were shocked to see it was indeed a Grand Theft Auto update, just for the wrong game…
Since its launch back in 2013 GTA: Online has undergone a lot of changes. Each new update brought something new for players to occupy their time with but the last few updates haven’t hit the same. Everyone’s ready to jump ship to GTA VI.
The latest update feels like a different story though as rather than digest what Rockstar Games churns out this new update will let you make your own GTA: Online missions.
Rockstar Mission Creator is a new expansion that’ll let you create your own stories so in theory you could probably make GTA VI in GTA V before GTA VI comes out.
As an example of what the editor can do, Rockstar teamed-up with GTA Series Videos to create a new set of missions called Old School Hits.
Old School Hits takes a lot of inspiration from the original Grand Theft Auto trilogy. The missions will be available to play on 30 April, which is tomorrow at the time of writing.
While there’s a lot to digest with the new level editor, Rockstar Games has devised a tutorial of sorts in the form of five new missions, all of which were made with the Rockstar Mission Creator.

They’ll teach you the ropes in addition to showing you what the tool is capable of, hopefully inspiring you to make your own creations.
When you’ve successfully created your first level you can upload it online and with a strong enough community response Rockstar might feature it in the Community Series. If you get featured you’ll receive a payout of in-game currency as well as other rewards.
The Rockstar Mission Creator looks like a great tool for GTA V but it has big implications for Rockstar’s other games, including GTA VI.
We’re not anticipating the editor to be featured in GTA VI’s online mode at launch but if it’s popular enough it might see a port.
Perhaps with enough positive feedback it’ll also be released for Red Dead Redemption 2, after all it’s not being called Grand Theft Auto Mission Creator now is it?
At a glance it looks like Rockstar Games has bigger plans for this new creative tool and we’re excited to see what jaw-dropping creations it leads to.
