GTA V players have been blessed with an in-game treat for what will likely be the last Halloween before GTA VI comes out.
GTA VI would have been out by now if the game hadn’t been delayed to 2026 but I think we’re all over it by now. 26 May isn’t that long away so I think we’re good.
While we wait, you should enjoy what time you have left with GTA V.
Rockstar Games hasn’t said a word about the next iteration of GTA: Online but it probably won’t be long until the next game has its multiplayer mode added, so there really won’t be any reason to continue playing the fifth Grand Theft Auto game outside of replaying the story, or nostalgia.

To mark what’ll likely be the last major Halloween in GTA: Online players are getting a free car, and it’s actually a pretty nice one too.
From now until 5 November you’ll be able to claim the Benefactor Krieger for free. Usually this car can be purchased from the in-game car shop Legendary Motorsport for GTA$2,875,000 but now you can get one for free.
Not only that you can also claim a seasonal variant of the car from the Luxury Autos showroom. This version will be in black and orange which are obviously two big Halloween colours.

It’s quite generous of Rockstar Games in all honesty. Usually the freebies GTA: Online players get are minimal and not very exciting but with the game mode clearly on its way out I guess now’s the time to send it out with a bang.
GTA VI: Online
Like I said before, Rockstar Games hasn’t said anything about the next iteration of GTA: Online but the fans have a lot of ideas for what it might be like.
In the game’s trailers the protagonist Jason can be seen playing a video game and many believe that’ll be the Online mode, explaining why there are so many criminals active in Vice City and beyond all at once.

As for a release date, GTA V launched in September 2013 and GTA: Online followed a month later in October 2013.
With that being the case we might get the new version for GTA VI in June 2026, though take that with a pinch of salt until Rockstar Games confirms it.
GTA V and GTA: Online still have some life in them, so enjoy them while you still can.
