Grand Theft Auto VI's last trailer was released on 6 May 2025. One year later, we’re merely weeks away from the next, confirmed through an update to the game’s launch date.
There’s been a great deal of anxiety surrounding the release date of GTA VI as despite Take-Two Interactive saying it doesn’t expect anymore delays, we’ve heard that before.
Rockstar Games’ radio-silence on the matter hasn’t helped as it’s hard to predict what the studio will do next. It could shadowdrop the game on us and it honestly wouldn’t be all that surprising.
That 19 November is apparently firmly set though, which means the third trailer fans have been waiting for is likely dropping in May.
19 November is GTA VI’s latest release date and despite fears it’d be pushed back further, insiders are saying the launch date is set firmly in place.

Shared by Idle Sloth, the GTAVIoclock podcast said Rockstar Games is confident in the current launch date, and that no further delays are predicted.
This is obviously good news for the players as it means we’ll finally get our hands on the game by the end of the year, unless you’re on PC, but it has even bigger implications for Trailer 3.
So far we’ve had two trailers for GTA VI. The first showed off the open-world with some lovely shots of Vice City, the ocean, the wilderness and more.
The scale of the game looks massive and leaks are suggesting it’ll dwarf Rockstar’s previous games like Red Dead Redemption 2. Will it surpass Crimson Desert though is the question we want answered.
When the second trailer for GTA VI dropped, it showed us even more of the open-world but with a greater focus on the characters within it.
Jason and Lucia were at the forefront of most scenes and we got a better idea of who they are and what they might be getting up to throughout the story.

GTA VI’s third trailer is the big one, though one thing we haven’t seen so far is some honest-to-God gameplay.
Some of the more cinematic shots found in the trailers were obviously captured in-game but we’re yet to see it from the player’s perspective.
We doubt it’ll play much differently to previous Grand Theft Auto games but with rumour of new gameplay mechanics and a more interactive environment, pure gameplay is something we’re all eager to see.
Luckily, we don’t have long to wait as previous leaks have stated the marketing for GTA VI will begin in May 2026, and with the game’s release date now set in stone that means the third trailer will drop next month.
That’s exciting in itself but it's even more exciting when you realise this means preorders will shortly follow. We're predicting the game's third trailer will end with the same release date, but also confirm preorders are live right at that very second.
It's only a matter of time. Everything is finally coming together for GTA VI, which is bad news for the rest of the games releasing this year, like the game’s latest rival.
