Welp, we really got actual flying cars before GTA 6

This is unreal

We’ve been waiting for GTA VI for so long that actual flying cars have become a thing in the meantime.

Rumour has it that GTA VI has been in development with Rockstar Games since around 2018 to 2020, but fans have been waiting for the sixth game since GTA V came out back in 2013.

Check out the second GTA VI trailer below.

We’re closer than ever to finally playing it, with just one more year to wait before its new release date of 26 May 2026.

As we continue to wait though, a technological revolution has occurred, as flying cars are closer than ever to being achieved. It’s one of those things that often comes up in time travel films, but now it seems like fiction could become reality.

The cars come from Klein Vision which showed off its new AirCar in a viral video, with a vehicle that can extend wings and use a propeller to take off into the air.

It can then land, retract the wings, and function as a normal car, with the company saying the controls change to allow the driver to pilot both forms of transportation.

Now it’s not exactly Cyberpunk 2077, but it’s impressive nonetheless, and the irony of a new mode of transport being released before GTA VI shouldn’t be lost on anyone.

It’s even funnier when you remember that GTA V: Online was genuinely ruined for a while when Rockstar Games started adding flying vehicles, like the Oppressor MKII bike and the actual DeLorean from the Back To The Future films.

The flying vehicles were loaded with missile launchers so all the players who had money to burn would buy them and use them to grief other players.

They do say that life imitates art but I don’t think anyone expected real-life to get flying vehicles you’d only dream of seeing in video games.
