Fallout: New Vegas is free to download and keep forever right now.

Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and released in 2010, some consider Fallout: New Vegas to be the best in the beloved post-apocalyptic RPG series from Bethesda. This is quite incredible when you consider that it was originally supposed to be an expansion and is a spin-off to Fallout 3.

Following a conflict between the U.S. and China in 2077, an atomic bomb blast causes world devastation (nothing new for a Fallout game). Now it's the year 2281 and the lands of Arizona, California and Nevada are brim with horrific mutations and cruel raiders that won’t think twice about killing you, just because.

To this day, players still can’t get enough of Fallout: New Vegas and for years, fans and developers have been calling for a sequel or even just a remaster. We do know that Fallout 5 is on the way, but it remains to be seen whether we will be taken back to New Vegas or somewhere else entirely.

As shared in a tweet from billbil-kun, to keep us busy until the next instalment of this RPG series arrives, Fallout: New Vegas is the latest free giveaway on the Epic Games Store.

Better still, this is not the ordinary version of Fallout: New Vegas, because it’s the ‘Ultimate Edition’. This means that you’ll also be gifted with all previously released DLC, which include ‘Dead Money’, ‘Honest Hearts’, ‘Old World Blues’, ‘Lonesome Road’ as well as the ‘Gun Runners’ Arsenal and Courier’s Stash’.

However, this free offer will not be around forever. You have until 1 June 2023 to claim Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition at no cost whatsoever. So, what are you waiting for? Go claim that freebie now wastelander!

In related news, we’ve recently had our first look at the Ghouls in the live-action Fallout TV series from Amazon, and a new Fallout-inspired RPG has been announced and it looks incredible.
