A brand new photo has leaked from the set of Amazon’s upcoming Fallout series and we’ve finally got our first glimpse at the live-action ghouls.

We’re really spoiled at the moment when it comes to video game adaptations. HBO’s The Last of Us kicked off the year in style, with many deeming it to be the greatest video game adaptation of all time. That was swiftly followed up by The Super Mario Bros. Movie which has seen colossal success at the box office, already taking over $1 billion. More recently, fans were pleasantly surprised by the Twisted Metal TV series trailer - and the Gran Turismo film isn’t looking bad either, albeit not life changing. Today though, we have a fresh glimpse at Amazon’s upcoming Fallout series which is still in the midst of filming.

As reported by The Gamer, a new leaked set photo (via IdleSloth84_) shows a live-action ghoul sitting down with another Vault dweller, smoking a cigarette. Both characters are wearing the signature blue and yellow Fallout jumpsuits, and are sitting in front of a Vault 33 banner. The series is shaping up nicely when it comes to visuals. These set photos may also unveil something about the plot though.

One photo shows the word ‘government’ graffitied onto a wall, suggesting something unusual could be happening amongst the Vault community. Seeing as there’s clearly a ghoul living in the Vault, this could indicate that either radiation has leaked in, or the dwellers are accepting outsiders.

We know that the TV series will tell a brand new story, as confirmed by Bethesda. After all, we’ve never seen Vault 33 before so that does seem somewhat obvious. There’s no release date just yet but it’s thought that the TV series will debut in late 2023 or early 2024.
