Collaborations between our favourite IPs are a staple in the gaming sphere and yet another has just been announced and will see Call of Duty and Fallout combine.
To celebrate the arrival of Fallout Season 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone will be welcoming some of the show’s most iconic characters to the fray.
Announced on the official Call of Duty Twitter account, the tagline reads: “Okie dokie - stay focused, stay alive.
“Fallout is coming to Call of Duty in Season 01 Reloaded.”
Advert
Despite attaching a teaser trailer, it is pretty brief and gives us no information other than that we can expect to see Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus in the iconic Fallout Power Armour make an appearance.
So we can safely assume that these characters will have their very own Operator skins in both Black Ops 7 and Warzone but as with previous collaborations, we can expect to see further cosmetics such as emblems, decals, and even weapon charms relating to the hit Prime Video show.
With Season 01 Reloaded expected to launch in early-to-mid January, we can expect the Fallout collaboration to go live around this time. However, this has not been confirmed by Treyarch and Raven Software just yet.
How Much Will the Skins Cost?
If the Fallout collaboration follows the same formula as previous ones to arrive in Call of Duty, we can expect it to feature in the premium event pass which costs around 1,100 COD points, equivalent to $10.
The skins could also be available as part of an Operator skin pack which is slightly more expensive, coming in at 2,800 COD Points, or $25.
It is clear that this collaboration is here to celebrate the release of Fallout Season 2 with its first episode airing earlier this week.
With episodes due every Wednesday, the collaboration will arrive at the perfect time as it will mark the halfway point of the eight-episode season.
Not only that but with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 receiving less-than-stellar reviews upon its launch back in November, this event could give it the boost it needs.
Our very own Richard Lee Breslin called Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 “a shell of its former self” in his review.
“Call of Duty deserves so much better, and if there’s anything that I’ve learned from Black Ops 7, it's that the annual releases need to come to an end ASAP, so that the developers can have more time to ensure that each new release lives up to the legacy of this series that has been built over the last two decades,” he wrote.
