Fallout 5 Tease Hopes Mooted, Would Be a Bethesda Masterclass

It would be epic

The Prime Video adaptation of Fallout really has been a shot in the arm for the franchise, which felt like it was listing a little, given the ten years since the last mainline release in the series (even if Fallout 76 has made a remarkable recovery).

With the second season now underway, fans are speculating about what the show will add to the existing canon of the iconic New Vegas location, as well as guessing who or what else we might see during its runtime.

Equally, the release of this season has been accompanied by related announcements for other Fallout games, as Bethesda tries to tie everything up in a pretty little bow, with the show now part of the canon.

The shows prominence in the lore now has made it the perfect place to add to the franchise, and some fans think it's ready to do that, in about as big a way as possible.

A Fallout 5 Teaser at the End of Season 2 Would Explode the Fan Base

Over on Reddit, a user posted a mock up image titled, "Imagine we get to the end of the show series and we get this," followed by an image saying "To be continued in Fallout 5."

Now, obviously it's pie in the sky stuff, particularly with Todd Howard's insistence that we're getting The Elder Scrolls VI before Fallout 5, but there's no doubt it would be a pretty epic thing to do.

The comments were predictably downbeat about things as well, with many expecting Fallout 5 news to be years away.

"Oh no, we are getting lots of TV show seasons, before Fallout 5 gets even announced. Maybe some spinoff, earlier, but that's a huge maybe," one said.

"As an Elder Scrolls fan if I was told Fallout 5 is coming before TES6 I think I would sacrifice a fallout fan to the devil," another added.

A third put forward a much more realistic prospect, that would arguably be just as exciting for longtime fans, "Honestly I think the last episode ending with a cut to Todd Howard being all 'well surprise everyone thanks for making it to the end of Season 2, and if you still need a Fallout fill then good news, Fallout 3 and New Vegas shadow dropped now."

With the rumours about a Fallout 3 remake still swirling, that really would be the ideal way to end the second season of an excellent show.
