This Fallout 4 Unreal Engine 5 fan remake is a total thing of beauty.

Released in 2015, Fallout 4 was Bethesda’s last venture into the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Yes, it’s really been close to eight years since we’ve last had a release in the ever-popular open-world RPG series.

Well, actually, that’s not entirely true, because we did get Fallout 76, an online offering of the series released in 2018. Though to be fair, that game did launch in a bad way, so it’s easy to forgive if it's since been wiped from memory. Though, from what I hear, the game is in a much better state now, at least.

We do know that Fallout 5 is officially on the way, as it was confirmed directly from Bethesda back in June 2022. However, details such as plot, location and release date are non-existent at this time. The only thing that we know for sure, is that Fallout 5 will be a new-gen title only coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation fans will hope that it will come to PS5, but considering that Bethesda is now owned by Microsoft, I wouldn't hold your breath.

What’s more, Fallout 4 is getting an upgrade for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at some point this year, but we don’t know exactly when it will launch. So, until that upgrade arrives, as well as Fallout 5, we can marvel at the beauty of this fan-made Fallout 4 remake, powered by Unreal Engine 5.

As reported by DSOgaming, an environment artist by the name of Ghost Design, has shared some incredible screenshots featuring a Fallout 4 settlement. Sure, the screenshots won’t represent what the upcoming Fallout 4 upgrade will look like, but they could give us an indication of the potential of Fallout 5. Honestly, if this is just a mere taste of what the next game will look like, then we’re in for a treat.

In related news, a Fallout-inspired RPG was recently announced called Ashfall, and it looks incredible. As for now, Fallout 4 is available for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
