Fallout 4 fans on Reddit have been discussing the prospect of the post-apocalyptic RPG receiving one last major expansion.

Originally released in 2015, when Bethesda launched Fallout 4, it became an instant hit with vault dwellers. Nearly ten years have passed, and Fallout 4 remains as popular as ever and recently received a boost in player numbers thanks to the success of Amazon Prime’s live-action series.

“As the sole survivor of Vault 111, you enter a world destroyed by nuclear war. Every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland. Welcome home,” reads the synopsis of Fallout 4.

What’s more, earlier this year, Fallout 4 benefited from its long-awaited free new-gen update boasting an improved resolution and framerate performance (mostly). So it’s fair to say that fans of the Bethesda series have had a lot to celebrate in recent months.

It’s unlikely that Fallout 4 will get further major content support from Bethesda, especially with it being focused on the likes of Starfield and Fallout 76, as well as the upcoming Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls VI.

However, fans have been discussing what if Bethesda was to give Fallout 4 one last piece of major DLC to capitalise on its recent success. “Is it time for more Fallout 4 DLC?” asked AtreidesOne.

“With the release of the TV show and the next-gen update, Fallout 4 has had a huge resurgence in popularity. I wonder if Bethesda could be persuaded to make a "Season 2" set of DLCs or even just one would be nice,” they continued.

“I would love for the Nuka-World DLC to have a lot more substance, the whole area has so much more potential than it has now,” 2shakers1tender suggested.

“I mean, that's literally what the Creation Club is meant to serve as (even if it falls short of expectations),” said Sgtwhiskeyjack9105, making a very valid point.

Yet, Emergency-Bread9801 and Master-Offer-2746 both said what probably most of us are thinking, demanding Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls VI, respectively.

Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also available at no extra cost for those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.
