Fans of the Fallout franchise have been starved of single-player experiences for many years, with the last big release being Fallout 4.
That game, rumoured to have been rushed to the finish line due to time constraints, left a lot of story and character development on the cutting room floor, and now Fallout fans want to see it restored.
This comes after one Redditor created a thread commenting on how story ideas for the beloved companion, Valentine, were removed before launch.
Of course, this sparked a conversation amongst Redditors who want to see the cut content introduced, perhaps via a new DLC package.

“I genuinely don't understand why they don't just make and release the cut content as DLC. It would sell, we all know it would!” exclaimed Starshallscream.
The main content players are referring to is the fact that Valentine’s ‘brain’ still retains the identity of Kellogg, but it was a plot point left unresolved by Bethesda.
There are mods out there that go some way to resolving this issue, but it’s not an official expansion to the story, and for the fans, that’s not what they want.
“It would have made a great addition to Automotron (DLC),” said one fan, which is echoed by several others, one of whom comments, “Honestly that in addition to the Dima stuff would be great, especially if you chose to do far harbor without Nick.”

From here, fans begin to plot out what could have been, and honestly, it sounds great. Everything from preventing Kellogg taking over Valentine’s body, to seeing more of an identity crisis for the companion.
Even with the game soon to release for Nintendo Switch 2, it’s unlikely these old plots will ever be touched on or expanded, and for that, we can only turn to the faithful modders who still release new stuff every week.
