A new free game is coming to the Epic Games Store later today, and combines two different genres together to make something new.

"A fresh take on two familiar genres! Lead your Knights to victory across the battlefield using decks you have crafted with care. Tactics fuse with card game mechanics as Phoebe and Carlton, a brilliant young inventor and her robot-arm bestie, square off in turn-based battles. Select your knights, hone your deck and execute your strategy for victory. Jump into a fantastical land with hand-drawn visuals by Marlowe Dobbe featuring lush vegetation, treacherous volcanoes, icy caves, and foggy forests," the official description for Floppy Knights reads.

ICYMI: Prime members can grab Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League for free this weekend.

Three different decks are available in the game, all of which do separate things. Plants allow you to upgrade abilities, heal allies and use the terrain to defeat an opponent, monsters allow you to add armour and hooligans are quick units that help to poison your opponent. Steam reviews for the title are fairly positive, with one player writing that:

"Overall a cute little game. Took about 10 hours to do the base storyline, only doing a couple of challenge stages. Music is good. I feel there is a bit too much dialogue, that they use half as many more sentences than they needed to, and I got to the point where I just skipped all of the dialogue after around the third location, so not sure if the story is good. Plays quite well on Steam Deck, no issues with text visibility, controls, or performance."

The title is available on the Epic Games Store from 4PM today (July 11), and will be available for a limited period of time.
