Steam RPG is free and yours to keep forever for a limited-time

Hellspawn

PC gamers have been treated to a free RPG to keep forever, so long as you claim it before the offer expires.

Sometimes, PC games will go free for a limited time. Players who claim it in time can keep the game in their libraries forever.

This can also occur on consoles from time-to-time, but it’s more common on PC. If the game is of a certain age, it’s also more likely to get this kind of offer.

That also applies to games that have sequels coming out, which is the case with Hellslave.

Hellslave developer Ars Goetia recently revealed the game’s sequel, Hellslave II: Judgement of the Archon, and has now made the first game free to keep on Steam for a limited time.

“The apocalypse is here, and humanity stands on the edge of extinction,” reads the official description on the Steam store page.

“In Hellslave, the only way to stop the demon horde is by making a pact with the Devil and choosing which of the six demons to worship. Will you embrace the power of darkness to save the world, or will it consume you?”

Through this, you overcome horrible demonic bosses by using your own demonic abilities in combat. It looks like a fantastic game for anyone who is a fan of H.P. Lovecraft or Edgar Allan Poe.

The game’s art style is giving us Darkest Dungeon vibes, or something along the lines of indie horror gems Darkwood or The Shrouded Isle.

Be sure to claim the free offer to add Hellslave to your Steam account.

If you won’t have access for a day or two, don’t worry. It’ll be free to claim all the way until 16 June, so you’ve got plenty of time.

Meanwhile, Hellslave 2 promises to deliver “deeper lore, richer combat, and even more twisted choices”.

Ars Goetia is aiming for a 2026 release for this game, so we’ll have to wait until then to find out more.
