Elden Ring player destroys Malenia in 15 seconds - a world record

An Elden Ring player managed to beat the game's hardest boss on NG+7 in just over 15 seconds with no glitches - it's mesmerising to watch.

Malenia is an Elden Ring boss who needs absolutely no introduction. Obviously, Soulsborne games are never a walk in the park (unless you’re obscenely good at them, in which case you have my utmost respect), but the Malenia fight is truly on a whole new level.

Her first phase is difficult enough. As well as her signature Waterfowl Dance attack being notoriously hard to avoid, she also heals every time she hits you. It’s like the video game equivalent of swimming against a current, except the current stabs you repeatedly, and every time it pushes you back, it decides to announce its full name to you. Again and again.

How would Malenia fare against Elden Ring’s other bosses? Find out in the video below.

The fact that she even has another phase is wild enough, but in the second part of the fight, she’s also given the ability to inflict Scarlet Rot in addition to having a plethora of deadly new attacks, which is borderline cruel. Needless to say, there’s a reason why the majority of players spend hours upon hours attempting to beat her.

As GamesRadar+ reports, one player has now put everyone else to shame by beating Malenia in NG+7 (which makes her way stronger than usual) in a world-record breaking 15.7 seconds. In a video posted to YouTube, RS_Lionheart is seen applying a huge amount of buffs before entering the fight in order to melt through Malenia’s health bar with two Bandit’s Curved Swords. I almost feel bad for her. Take a look below.

“When I look into each buff, I am always weighing damage vs duration,” Lionheart told GamesRadar+. “I always try to do them in descending order of duration, so that, for example, my Blood Loss and Poison buffs, which only last 20 seconds, come towards the end of the sequence. To work out and test all of this, I have several different characters on multiple accounts who have levels ranging from one to 350, allowing me to test a variety of different builds. I have every single spell, incantation, and Ash of War basically memorised at this point, so it's just a matter of setting a goal and trying to see if it's possible.”

It’s hard to imagine anyone will be able to beat Malenia faster than this, but who knows? Elden Ring players never cease to amaze.
