This upcoming FPS game could be the Titanfall 3 we’ve always dreamed of, and it’s no wonder it’s going viral on the internet right now.
I can’t believe it’s been nine years since the release of Titanfall 2. It was one of those games that really managed to nail down the gameplay, and deliver unto us a shooter that nothing else has really matched in the years since.
Electronic Arts doesn’t seem interested in making a third Titanfall game, with Respawn Entertainment instead splitting its resources between Apex Legends and the Star Wars Jedi games.
In all fairness, those games are great, but they’re not Titanfall.

Diesel Knights from developer Xavier Johnson aims to create a spiritual successor to the Titanfall series, and the Kickstarter campaign has currently gone viral online.
Check out some clips of Diesel Knights below, which was shared to Johnson’s YouTube channel dedicated to the game.
What is Diesel Knights about?
“Diesel Knights is a PvP Mech/Movement Shooter set in a pulp-inspired, dieselpunk world,” writes Johnson on the Diesel Knights Kickstarter page.

“Players assume the role of the titular "Knights," brave gunwalker pilots of the 407th Special Armored Calvary Regiment, and engage in frenetic multiplayer combat both on foot, using advanced parkour movement mechanics and mid-century inspired weapons and gadgets, or in the cockpits of towering, 65-ton, diesel-powered mechs.
“Diesel Knights is a response to a kind of design philosophy that’s all but vanished - the belief that a PvP shooter can be fast, expressive, and deeply mechanical without being a grind. It’s built on the idea that mastery itself is the reward; not battle passes, not loot boxes, just the feeling of momentum, weight, and speed.
“We're asking for your help to build a simple game that knows what it is: a focused, mechanical shooter with a clear identity and tone.”
The Kickstarter for Diesel Knights has already smashed its initial $45,000 goal, with the pledges currently sitting at just under $325,000 as of the time of writing.

The game has also funded nearly all of its additional stretch goals, which includes additional content like mech customisation, more maps and weapons, and a bonus co-op PvE mode.
One thing is clear, and it’s that the people hunger for a new Titanfall title.
Hopefully Diesel Knights ends up doing well, because this might be the closest thing we get to a third Titanfall game for now.
