It’s been almost 10 years since Titanfall 2, and the fans have missed its frenetic combination of ballistic action, and mech-based traversal.

Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind the Titanfall franchise, were shifted over to the battle royale genre with Apex Legends, leaving fans wondering if we’d ever get back into a mech.

Titanfall 2 was a huge success and many have wondered why we never got another game

Well, if rumours are to be believed - and as always, keep your pinch of salt handy, in case - then we could be getting an announcement later this year for Titanfall 3.

Rebs Gaming, over on Twitter, reported that two leakers had communicated that Titanfall 3 is in the works and is “planned to release in 2026.”

There is no official word from either Respawn or EA on this, so keep you expectations in check, for now.

Leaker, YOROTSUKI_, has said this is not an April Fool’s joke, and that back in December 2024, they’d mentioned on a Discord group that Respawn was working on a new game.

This has now been revealed as Titanfall 3, and should be announced at The Game Awards 2025, which is a long way off.

If this rumour is indeed true, EA will surely get word of the leak and perhaps chance on moving the announcement to earlier in the year, before the rumour spins out of control.

This is an exciting moment for the community as Titanfall 2 has long been a beloved game that captured a unique sense of action, with a little chaos thrown in.

Countless fans on Twitter are trying to keep the excitement to a minimum for now, with many saying simply “don’t give us hope.”

It’s hard not to be pulled in, however, when your favourite series might be rising from the dead.

Keep your eyes on EA over the coming months to see if they start teasing an announcement.
