Matthew Murdock ‘The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’ aka Daredevil is one of Marvel’s most popular characters since his inception all the way back in 1964.

Since that time he’s featured in countless comic books and even starred in his own Netflix live-action series starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. There’s also a new series coming to Disney Plus which sees Cox reprise his role. Sadly, recent reports have claimed that shooting for Disney’s Daredevil series has been scrapped to start all over again.

Check out the Daredevil Netflix Season 3 trailer below!

Other than having his own dedicated game for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, ‘The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’ has had to make do with cameo appearances in the likes of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Marvel vs. Cacom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, LEGO Marvel Superheroes and more.

Recent gossip suggests that Daredevil may appear in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC or developer Insomniac Games could be working on a new standalone game. However, Daredevil was supposed to get his own video game on PlayStation 2, until that project was reportedly cancelled in 2003.

Prototype gameplay images of the cancelled game Daredevil: The Man Without Fear have appeared online and were recently shared by the Twitter account DiscussingFilm. In total, there were four images featuring Kingpin, two in-game screenshots one of which features Daredevil mentor Scott Glenn, and another image of what looks to be an end-of-level score breakdown.

Unfortunately at this time, there doesn't appear to be any gameplay footage in motion of Daredevil: The Man Without Fear, but if we're lucky, perhaps that might appear online in the coming months. We’ll have our fingers crossed.

That being said, during the 2000s when video game movie tie-ins were extremely popular, most of those adaptations sucked, big time as they were often considered to be quick cash grabs. This cancelled game would have released at around the same time as the 2003 movie starring Ben Affleck. So perhaps we were all saved from that pain and that is why this game was ultimately cancelled.
