Daredevil Making MCU Return Alongside Another Netflix Hero

It's happening!

Charlie Cox's Daredevil is officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and fans couldn't be more thrilled. Matt Murdock made his surprise return in Spider-Man: No Way Home last year, but that's far from the last we've seen of the Man Without Fear.

As we suspected, Cox will reprise his role as Daredevil once more for the upcoming Disney Plus show Echo. Fans will remember that Echo, AKA May Lopez (Alaqua Cox) made her debut in Hawkeye last year, where she worked for her "uncle" Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio reprising his Netflix role).

Hawkeye ended with Echo seemingly shooting Kingpin in the face at point-blank range for murdering her father. However, it seems Kingpin is alive and well after all. More or less. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Cox and D'Onofrio will return Echo, bringing Daredevil and his arch-nemesis together again onscreen for the first time since 2018.

As if that wasn't exciting enough, a second report claims that Echo will feature the return of yet another Netflix Marvel hero. The Weekly Planet podcast suggests that the upcoming show will feature a subplot in which Daredevil is searching for a "former ally": none other than Jessica Jones.

Netflix's Jessica Jones ended on a pretty downbeat note, with our superhero-turned private investigator being forced to hand her best friend Patsy Walker over to the authorities for abusing her powers to kill man. It was a whole thing.

While these reports don't confirm whether or not this Jessica Jones will be once again played by Krysten Ritter we can assume that the return of Cox and D'Onofrio means this will be the case. I'm also interested to see how much of the Netflix series will be addressed on Disney Plus. Anyone who knows Jessica Jones will know the things she went through... aren't the kind of things you'd expect a Disney show to talk about. For now, we'll just have to wait for Echo to air in 2023 before we get our long-awaited Netflix Marvel reunion.
