The next Avengers film, Avengers: Doomsday, reportedly has a role in mind for one of the best MCU heroes.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it is barrelling towards something fantastic with the next two Avengers films, as Earth’s mightiest heroes will tackle Doctor Doom in some multiversal mayhem.

Before that though, we need to see what Sam Wilson is up to in Captain America: Brave New World

With so many Marvel heroes to choose from however, it’s clear that not everybody will get an equal chance to shine, as there’ll likely be one main roster and another big team-up scene at the end similar to Avengers: Endgame.

The roster has been speculated to death by fans, though it's rumoured that one of the spots will be filled by one of the best Avengers, Wong.

Wong is the sorcerer supreme of the MCU at the moment, though he only got it on a technicality because Doctor Strange got blipped, and has appeared in several shows and films in cameo roles.

He’s a fan-favourite for sure, and actor Benedict Wong is hoping there’s a role for him in Avengers: Doomsday.

Speaking in a recent interview Wong was asked about his involvement in the next Avengers film, to which he replied “Hey, well, look, I’m all for it. I’m ready! With Wong, he’s been promoted to Sorcerer Supreme, so it’s all in the hands of the Marvel Universe to see where we go with it. Yeah, I’m looking forward to it.”

While nothing is set in stone at the time of writing, it only makes sense to bring him back into the fray, after all Doctor Strange is obviously going to have a big part to play so there’s no doubt Wong will be standing right alongside him.

All we can do now is wait for more details on Avengers: Doomsday to come to light, including a full cast announcement.
