Get ready, Cyberpunk 2077 fans - Cyberpunk 2077: XOXO has been officially announced, and it’ll be releasing this October.

Right now, Cyberpunk 2077 fans everywhere are waiting with bated breath for the release of the game’s one and only DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty. On 26 September, gamers on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 will be able to dive in to a fresh story set in a whole new district of Night City. It’ll provide a new ending for the main game, which fans are predicting could be absolutely tragic. Fun!

Take a look at the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty right here.

Anyway, the Cyberpunk fun never stops, apparently, because after that, the all-new comic series Cyberpunk 2077: XOXO is going to hit shelves. As GamesRadar+ reports, the four-issue series (which is being published by Dark Horse) essentially sounds like a Cyberpunk-flavoured version of Romeo and Juliet. It’s being written by Bartosz Sztybor, who was also the writer of the Netflix anime series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

“Gang on gang violence rages towards a bloodbath when an ambush planned by the Maelstroms on the Moxes gets complicated,” the official synopsis reads. “Corpo cargo worth a heavy sum is up for grabs, but loyalty only goes so far when love is on the line. One member of the Maelstroms has found something worth sacrificing for. He’s never known anyone like her. Jaw-dropping, eyes popping, pulse racing, could this be love at first sight? Cybernetics can’t save you from heartbreak.”

All in all, it sounds like a pretty different direction for the Cyberpunk series, but I’m here for it. The first issue of XOXO is 32 pages long, and will release on 18 October. The remaining three issues haven't been given release dates, however, so we'll have to keep an eye out for those.
