If you’re a fan of Cyberpunk 2077, then I’m hoping that you’ve already enjoyed the delight that is the Phantom Liberty expansion.

The DLC unlocks after you complete the main story quest ‘Transmission’ amidst the Pacifica storyline, although you don’t have to dive into it then.

You can begin Phantom Liberty mid playthrough or you can complete it when you’ve already rolled credits on the main game.

If you opted to do the latter, you may have missed the fact that Phantom Liberty can actually alter the base game’s ending.

If you’re yet to see this secret ending, allow me to give you the lowdown on exactly what it entails.

Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in action below.

As I said, this pertains to an ending for the main game. I’m not talking about the various conclusions of the actual DLC itself.

This ending isn’t unlocked by everybody. You’ll need to make certain choices, namely concerning Songbird.

It doesn’t matter whether you side by Reed or Songbird, but you do need to select an ending where Songbird survives and is taken in by the FIA.

Once you’ve done this and completed the expansion, complete the main game’s ‘Through Pain to Heaven’ quest.

You’ll need to wait for Reed to contact you, who'll eventually invite you to see him before his departure from Night City.

Next up is the ‘Who Want To Live Forever’ quest which will see you waiting around for Reed to contact you again.

At this point, you’re not too far away from that secret ending.

You’ll be asked to wait on the rooftop of Misty’s Esoterica, where you can be accompanied by a romance option, before NUSA agents show up to whisk you away to Langley who’ll perform the surgery to remove the Relic from your head.

If you took the necessary steps to achieve the secret ending, Reed will be there when you awaken, explaining what happened during the surgery.

I won’t delve into the exact specifics of what he says, saving that discovery for you to make.

You’ll then visit a series of familiar faces in a unique epilogue that’s also best experienced for yourself.

I’ve given you the toolkit you need to unlock this ending. Good luck chooms.
